Blue Copper Cuff with riveted Dragon.
It all started as a raw copper sheet, I did some fold forming and sanding here - and another, absolutely lovely oxidized copper cuff is ready for getting blue!
Once the shape was ready, I chucked it into a special bluing vapor bath. Some time passed (lots of sanding and rinsing in between, I want the patina to go as deep inside the metal as possible!) and then, the cuff achieved this lovely blackish-blue patina.
Then, I pressed the Dragon, using one of the numerous steel dies I've collected over the years. Once it was ready, I riveted it onto the cuff using sterling silver, and some more sanding followed. Then I covered it all with a protective glaze, and voila - here it is, a beautiful and truly unique, handmade medieval cuff (well, medieval-style) is ready for your wrist!
This unisex cuff is suitable for large wrists, it is roughly 6.8cm (2.67 inches) in diameter (widest point) and it's 3.4cm (1.33 inches) wide. The cuffs' opening is 3.2cm (1.25 inches) and it is slightly adjustable by gently squeezing it down or opening it a bit more.
I've taken pictures outside in daylight but as usual, the actual colors might vary a bit due to different settings computer screens!
